Not only are you phenomenal at painting - but you have good worldbuilding and comic skills too! Can't wait to see the rest of it! :)

Uuuu that sounds interesting! An organic virus. Some kind of parasite? That's reminds me the floods from Halo, that wants to infect all the living beings to steal their memories to grow is knowledge.

Well actually I found something a bit upset : your scenario possibilities are now reduced to... Two : being able to stop the virus or not being able. Actually, I'm pretty sure the second one is not the good one so... I know the basic end 'v'.
Now I'm impatient to see how you'll turn the storyline.

How can a virus be plant like? Its. Missing many of the necessary parts to be like a plant such as chloroplasts, a nucleus, mitochondria, and the means to self-replicate. Plus viruses don't really 'comvert' host cells in that manner, some can be modified to do that but then they usually don't replicate (no point in editing a cell only to have it be killed), and the viral reproductive cycle necessitates killing the host cell most of the time (they literally hijack the cell to clone themselves until the cell explodes because it can't hold them in)

Well I have few things to say :
First of all, it's an alien virus, so he's literally saying to us : "shut the fuck up I'm different, noobs".
Secondly, all living beings can vehiculate a virus. One cell infected can give the virus to hundred peoples.
Third : yes, a virus can convert a cell. And a virus is converting cells to reproduce until it kills the receptor. In reality, the host dies "accidentally". The virus needs your body to survive, so once the host is dead, the virus is dead too, by his own fault. Plus, the Cristal thing is probably not made by the virus himself, but by other pathogens that are "profiting" of the situation : the weak body is a good receptor to all kind of horrible things.
Finally : it's a story. It could have be whatever SixLeafCover wanted it to be, because what is happening is what she wants.
On this, I let you thinking about the fact of appreciating a story, and not destroying it once it started.

2. Not necessarily true, certain cells have evolved CRISPR which neutralizes viruses but removing their genetic material from the nucleus

3. I'm referring to the use of viruses in genetic engineering, but usually when they alter them to splice genes they also make them not replicate uncontrollably (as it defeats the purpose of editing in the first place), the victim dying is usually the result of the pathogen infecting the wrong kind of victim (like HIV infecting humans rather than primates, or Swine Flu humans rather than pigs. The intended host is usually not too inconvenienced but any other can be overwhelmed by the pathogen not being meant to infect their system
4. True but realism makes the story more immersive, which is why authors like Tolkien and Orwell are so interesting to read, the story itself is interesting plot wise and I love the art style but there's nothing wrong with constructive criticism

I'm not sure that a cell can remove their own genetic information. Once the gens have fusioned, it prevent the cell from suiciding itself.

In genetic engineering we don't use normal viruses but ones we mutated so they only kill bacteria and they don't use them to produce other viruses.
The best way to fight a virus is still vaccine plus confinement. Imagine a virus that could destroy the humanity. Now imagine the patient zero is someone alone in nowhere. He'll die of the virus, and the virus'll die with him, so nobody else will be harm.

I quite agree with that, but then again, it's a fantasy, not a realistic story. So realism is not welcomed here, except for physics, because it touches everything. And if it's a different universe, physics could also be different. So virus is gonna kill everyone, but scientist are going to achieve their goal and everyone could already know what's gonna be the "savior".
But I'm not speaking of this anymore, because it'll waste SixLeafCover's work.

This seems more like a fungus than a virus, they produce some weird chemicals that can turn ants into zombies and stuff. Plus they can so grow vine like structures and exploit other cells processes

Is there a sequence of these victims getting encased in the crystallized vines? There wasn’t enough detail for me to tell what exactly happens in full, and out of morbid curiosity, I’d like to see an illustration of the process.
